Spain's technical building code, which sets standards for structure, safety, insulation, noise and energy use.
Introduced in 2006 (Real Decreto 314/2006) and updated in 2019 (Real Decreto 732/2019) so that new buildings must be nearly zero-energy. Homes built before 2006 were designed to much lower insulation and energy standards.
