A formal statement that you meet the legal requirements for an activity, which lets you start without waiting for prior approval.
Most regions use it to register a tourist rental: you declare that the home meets the rules and are entered in the register, and the authorities check afterwards. A false or inaccurate declaration leads to cancellation and fines.
