Registration that allows a home to be let to tourists for short stays, regulated by each region and town.
Rules differ by region and town, and some areas have stopped issuing new registrations. Since April 2025, starting a tourist rental in a building with a community of owners requires the community's approval by a three-fifths majority. Since July 2025 short-term lets also need a number in the national rental register. Check both before you buy for rental income.
